Electric Salmon

Howdy, li'l doggies! Not that you're a dog or anything, that's not what I meant at all, I just felt kind of country and it seemed appropriate... I just... never mind.

Anyway, today's polish is a no-name, which is super annoying, because polish names are half the fun. If I was naming this one, I would call it Electric Salmon because that sounds super cool.

The brand is AL and the polish is 120. I got it at the International Festival for a buck, so I wasn't exactly expecting much. Anyone recognize this?

I got two others because, hey, I'm not gonna pass up nail polish for a buck.

Anyway, when I bought it, it looked like kind of a salmon color. When I looked at it in my room, I nearly had a heart attack, because it looked friggin' ORANGE! I hate orange nail polish with a passion. But under lamplight, it was salmon again! Then in the bathroom it was peachy! I had to figure out what color this was.

Outside, no sun. Sorry for the dents in my nails, it's a weird habit I have. Don't ask.

I was trying to take a picture in the sun, but every time I saw sun and I walked out, it faded within seconds. Crazy, I know, but that's what happened!

 Inside near a window.

Inside under a lamp.

In certain lights, I thought it could be dupe-ish for Chanel Orange Fizz, but upon Google-image-searching it I decided that Orange Fizz is darker and pinker. They're quite similar, though, in the right lights.

This is errr two coats? I'm pretty sure. For nail polish that I bought at the International Festival for a buck, it was quite nice. No bubbling whatsoever, application was issue-free.

HOWEVER, this thing stank like a wet dog on a hot day. Oh my goodness, I don't even know what to say. It wasn't a nail polish-y smell, more like a paint or paint thinner smell. I don't know what it was, but it was extremely chemical-y and STRONG.

Anyway, I like this color best when it's salmon, just because I hate orange, but it was actually a pretty nice peach color.

OH! AND! In the sun, this baby is BRIGHT. Like, it's almost neon. Crazy stuff, man.

Thoughts?
