Day 30: Inspired by a Tutorial

Guuuuys I have 201 followers now! I love ya so much. I'll work on getting another contest/giveaway put together as soon as I can because you deserve it!

OMG, it's the last day of the challenge! Fiiiinally! *angels sing* I did produce a lot of cool stuff and it definitely helped me hone my nail art skills, but it was exhausting! I've been wanting to try the cool vintage-rose nail art but I wasn't sure how to go about it, so I figured today would be a good day to find a tutorial and try it.

Here's the tutorial I used (the girl's voice is kind of creepily calm, but it's a good tutorial):

And here's how it worked out for me:

I'm very happy with how this turned out! It was really easy and I love the way it looks. I used Scotch Naturals Leprechaun Lynch as the base, Essie Your Hut or Mine for the base pink of the roses, Revlon Cherry for the little swoopies, and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Going Green for the leaves.

Now, I have amassed a few *ahem* polishes during this challenge, so you might be seeing just swatches for a while. Tomorrow I'll post the grand haul since haul posts were one of the things requested in my contest, and I think the day after that I'll do a base/top coat post and maybe even a nail care post for a breather from all this nail art.

I hope you enjoyed this month-long adventure!

  2. I love this! It looks so pretty and cool, and very springy. I wish I could do these for myself, but it' either konad or nail stickers for me!

  5. Yay! That's an impressive feat - 30 days is a long time :P I wonder if they have EOTD versions? Haha. I doubt I could stick through it. The roses look beautiful! And I've had that silly "We're painting the roses red" song from Alice in Wonderland stuck in my head...I want roses on my nails!

  8. @Meg: I would have to agree!

@Beauty on a College Budget: They weren't actually very difficult at all! It worked out pretty nicely.

@Liberry Tart: Go forth and be artistic! I know you can do it!

@Naomi: It's a nice blue but it was expensive. Pleh. I'm glad I'm done with this!

@Larie: You probably could have accommodated this challenge for eyeshadow, but it was pretty exhausting. Although it was good experience in the long run!

@Fingers: Yay! Although now I am sick of nail art and I really want just some plain swatches for a while! Lol.
