Day 9: Rainbow Nails

**Your entries for the contest/giveaway are due by tomorrow at noon, so you best get going!**

**EDIT: Also! I literally JUST made a Twitter. I figured I'd give it a whirl. I'm @LaurasLacquers, of course. Tell me who you are so I can follow you!**
Today's challenge is rainbow nails. Immediately, I knew what I wanted to do. It's something that I missed doing earlier when it was all the rage, so you're going to have to bear with me while I revive this monster.

I'm talking about the shatter-over-rainbow thing that everyone did when black shatter was a novelty. I never ended up doing it, and there's no time like the present!

First I did the rainbow. From blue to red: Sally Hansen Co-Bolt Blue, Revlon Emerald City, Sinful Unicorn, Finger Paints Dahlia My Number, Sally Hansen Blackberry Wine Frost

My nails are ridiculously curved so here's the side views:

Aaand now with the shatter. I applied it diagonally since I liked the effect. Is it weird that when I type "diagonally" I think "Diagon Alley"?

Yoda say what!? I mean, What Yoda say? Hard it is to talk like Yoda.

So it looks pretty nifty there, but unfortunately most of the time the blue is too dark and blends in with the black shatter, like so:

So I think with a lighter blue I would have liked this much more, but it didn't have quite the awesome OMG-wow-RAINBOWS effect I was hoping for.

Now that's a rainbow.

  13. @Leslie: I think I should have done neons instead of shimmers. It would have stuck out better on the black.

    @Naomi: Well I'll try to find you instead then!

    @Fingers: Woohoo, I'll go follow you!

    @JeeZ TrendZ: I'm excited too!!

    @Larie: Lol, I have to use these pictures because these are the faces I would make in real life.
