Untrieds Month: Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

For my triumphant return, I bring you the second Revlon copycat I promised (see Anna, I told you there were two).

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

I'm sure most of you know by now that this is a supposed dupe for Deborah Lippmann Bad Romance. We'll do the comparisons at the end of the post.

Now, I decided to wear this matte, but I only took one picture of it because of course, the sun was being ridiculous. So then I put topcoat on it and I think I like it better that way. This was after a whole day of wear, though, so keep that in mind.

Look ma, I got some sun!

This is 3 coats. Facets of Fuchsia has a very dark charcoal-brown base that is almost black, and fuchsia glitter made up of small circles and larger hexagons. It's quite pretty, really. I know some people layer it over darker polish to conserve it and make removal easier, but it wasn't terribly difficult. I do think it would look really smexy over a shimmering purple-burgundy color, though.

The formula was great, really easy to manage and the glitter didn't need a lot of manipulating to look evenly distributed. What can I say, it's a fabulous polish!

And now, here are some comparisons with it's doppelganger, Bad Romance. Since I am cheap and not in possession of this glorious beauty, let me refer you a comparison by Kayla Shevonne, here.

That's actually the only comparison I could find when I googled for them, but I feel like there must be more out there. Anyway, I feel like the differences are totally negligible and Facets of Fuchsia is a great dupe for Bad Romance. How about you?

  1. I own it, and I'm in the middle of painting my nails this color - I usually blog between coats. This is the third time I wore it since I bought it. I absolutely love it! Thank god for this dupe. I'm loving the dark bases with big glitter polishes!

  4. This is a great one and I actually like it better than the DL Bad Romance. The Revlon has more glitter and different shaped glitter which DLBR does not have any hex shaped glitter.

  6. So glad you are back! But I don't like this glitter fest-it's all over the blog world! I must be the only one who doesn't get it!

  7. This is so pretty! I love that it is only 3 coats.

  8. I dunno that I necessarily care about it being a dupe - it's a gorgeous polish all on its own, which is enough for me! :D Three coats looks great, but oh, the glitter...I had a hard time scrubbing off two ._.

@beachgal: Yeah, I think this one might actually be better!

@Polish and Charms: Use it! It's fantastic!

@Fingers: You are so strange! I can't believe you don't like glitter.
