Color Club Wicked Sweet: Get Your Lem-On
This is the second to last Wicked Sweet color that I have. The mini set I bought only included four colors, but that's okay since I don't really care about the ones that I don't have. Yay!
Today we have Get Your Lem-On
Now, I'd read in reviews that this color is extremely sheer, so I put on one coat of OPI Alpine Snow underneath to serve underwear purposes, followed by two coats of Get Your Lem-On.

Okay, this stuff is BRIGHT. Like, those pictures in the sun are nowhere near close to capturing just how retina-searing this color is. It is insane. As I'm typing this I can see it out of the corner of my eyes. That's how bright it is. IT'S SO DISTRACTING. I can't do anything without seeing it in my peripheral vision. It also has a lovely hidden blue shimmer, which shows up nicely in the sun (go click and see). I like it, but only for a while. There's only so much highlighter yellow a gal can take.
The formula was easy to work with, and of course fairly sheer. Although I HATED the smell. As I was applying it, it smelled exactly like Sprite to me, which is not a smell I enjoy because I detest carbonated drinks. They make me feel like my tongue is being burned by acid or something. Ooh, I probably should have used that as an interesting fact on one of these tags. I don't drink soda. Well now you know!
After it dried, it kind of faded to a cross between Sprite and Pine-Sol. Luckily this smell was subtle like the rest of them so I wasn't smelling it most of the time.
Do any smells make you recoil in horror?
Wow so far I like this entire set! :)
ReplyDeleteHum... horror smells... that weird chemically one that is in doctors offices!
I swear if I smell "euphoria" for men by Calvin Klein it makes me vomit.... Ex boyfriend.
ReplyDeleteI just got the starry temptress collection cause I food it at Ross' but I wanted the wicked sweet instead... Too bad they didn't have it.
Such a bright yellow! I love it!
ReplyDeleteyes i can't stand anything vanilla i know most people love it but it makes me sick, this color is very pretty even though its super bright it screams summer, and i like the smell of pine sol lol.
ReplyDeleteBeing a nurse - I'm not going to answer the smell question- use your imagination! But you think soda feels like acid on your tongue? Man you are freakin weird! Where do you come up with this stuff? And yeah this is highlighter yellow- not a good polish look! Save some dollars and just use the pen!
ReplyDelete@Meg: You can borrow these if you want. They're all very bright Meg colors.
ReplyDelete@Leslie: *Note to self: avoid Euphoria for men!* I like the Starry Temptress collection! I can't wait to see it. :)
@Olivia: It is VERY bright lol.
@beauxs mom: Hmm I like vanilla. Pine Sol is okay but I don't like it when mixed with Sprite!
@Fingers: It just burns! I hate carbonated stuff. I got tired of this polish after a while but it was nice for a little bit.
Oooh so neon! It looks like highlighter nails :)
ReplyDeleteI want it! Highlighter yellow is right up my alley! I dunno about the smell, though. As for smells...I'm picky, but one smell I absolutely hate? Cucumber melon. Uggggh.
ReplyDeleteH&M had a line of body sprays and one, I think it was papaya, smelled like dead fish. No lie. I made my friend smell it and she agreed it smelled like something had died in the bottle. :D
ReplyDelete@Vintage: It does look a LOT like highlighter. But with blue shimmer! So even better.
ReplyDelete@Larie: You should get it if you see it. The smell was not noticeable at all as you go about your day. *Gasps* You hate cucumber melon? That's like the standard scent for... everything. Lol.
@Sandra: Ewww. That is so gross. *note to self: don't buy body spray from H&M*
Wow okay this looks great!! idk how it would look like actually ON nails... WITH clothes... it would seem like it wouldn't match anything. And how can you live with these stinks all the time?!?!
