And today I owe another beautiful woman a massive thank-you for being so fantastic. A Polished Touch was kind enough to hunt Revlon Whimsical and Naughty (apparently a Perplex lookalike, who was in turn a dupe for Chanel Paradoxal) for me when I commented on how beautiful Whimsical was and how disappointed I was that I couldn't find it. And as a surprise, she threw in Joe Fresh Twilight! OMG! Holy freaking amazing, Batman!
So another THANK YOU I LOVE YOU YOU'RE THE BEST EVER to A Polished Touch for being snazztastic.
And here is this beauty in all her glory: Revlon Whimsical.
I did one... or maybe two... ohgod I don't rememberrr... let's say 1.5 coats of Whimsical over Butter London Lady Muck, which is a beautiful grey-blue shimmer.
Whimsical is seriously the cutest thing ever. It reminds me of cotton candy and lollipops and marshmallows and fluffy little kittens. And the name! Oh goodness, the name is adorable. I love everything about this polish. It is gloriously beautiful and I plan to try it over many different bases just for giggles.
Oh, and then I mattified it... yeah, I kinda wish I hadn't 'cause I liked it better shiny, looking back at it now in pictures. Whenever I mattify things, I always ending up liking the shiny version better in the end. *sigh*

Good evening, dears! I hope you are all doing absolutely wonderfully today. This morning started off a littly rocky (it's a Monday, what do you expect?) but I'm feeling lovely now.
Did you watch the Oscars last night? Notice any nails? I didn't get a close look at anyone's hands but I loved Jessica Chastain's dress! Emma Stone's was a close second.
Anywho, today I will be sharing with you a lovely mani that begins with Deborah Lippmann Don't Tell Mama.

2 coats. Don't Tell Mama iiiis dark. I can't really tell what the base color is. Maybe a super dark indigo? And it's got a blue-purple-teal shimmer that's very pretty but a tad bit shy.
The formula was pretty nice, although I was kind of hoping that something as expensive as a Lippmann would not only apply itself but then give me a foot massage, so I was a wee bit disappointed.
Then, because that was lacking a certain "oomph," I layered Butter London Tart With a Heart on top.
That's more like it! Tart With a Heart is a pretty sheer glitter full of lots of tiny glitter specks and some larger hex glitter. They all flash iridescent blue, green, yellow, and sometimes pinkish. It's very pretty and produces a rather galaxy-like effect. It's also got some teeny tiny specks of black glitter, but they were invisible over the dark base.
This is one of those super gorgeous mesmerizing manis that you have trouble looking away from. It's really beautiful! Kind of like when you have a really great hair day and you spend all your time looking in any reflective surface you can find because you just look so goshdarn GOOD. I mean, what... I don't do that... *cough*
Today I have a real stunner for you, a polish that I knew was meant to be mine the moment I laid eyes on it.
Butter London The Black Knight
2 coats. I believe this is appropriate:
It's pretty spectacular. The Black Knight is full of tiny gold flecks, and also has slightly larger red, fuchsia, and blue glitter. It's absolutely jam-packed and it is so sparkly! In the sun it's all "Hey look at me!" and I'm like "Yes, O Sparkly One." Seriously guys. Get it if you have the chance, it's amazing. The formula was great and with one thick coat of a slightly goopy topcoat + Out the Door, it was perfectly smooth. Love!
The last Butter London polish I have to show you is an interesting one that you've probably heard a lot about, called No More Waity Katie (yes I forgot the bottle shot jeez)

2 coats. No More Waity Katie is a very unique polish. She has a smoky, slightly brown-tinged grey base with a ton of lavender glitter. After the first coat, it looked pretty disgusting, and I did not have high hopes. It was sheer and blechy and pretty much NOT AWESOME. But lo, with the second coat, all was well! I wasn't sure if I was going to like it or not, to be honest, but I am glad to say I think it's working for me!
The formula was less than desirable, though not as bad as I'd heard it was. Slightly gluey, yes, but nothing a little thinner couldn't help.
So, a pleasant surprise today! What polishes have surprised you?

2 coats. Big Smoke is a dark blue polish with lovely shimmer that appears to be blue, silver, and possibly green. It's a nice color although I'm not sure how it correlates to the name.
The formula on this one seemed to be better, for whatever reason I liked it more.
Oh goodness... I have nothing to say! This is weird, I'm not use to being at a loss for words. I'm sorry I didn't do anything funky with this, but I've been under the weather lately so I haven't done any art. I'll do some when I'm feeling better, I promise!
All right, I'm a little hyped up on cough meds right now so if this post is weird I apologize in advance. Today I will be featuring another pseudo-British polish.
Butter London Lady Muck

2 coats. Lady Muck is a very light, sea spray blue color. It's grey-blue. Grue? Bley? Grooblay. Anyway, she has a nice allover silver shimmer that is very pretty and makes for an extremely flattering color on the whole.
The formula was nice, for some reason I don't really like Butter London's formula even though it's not difficult or anything. Something about the way it flows, I think. Oh well. Anyway, Lady Muck was a little boring on her own so I added OPI Spark de Triomphe on top.

So that solved that problem! Did I ever show you guys the Grape Set Match/Spark de Triomphe duo? I don't remember if I ever got around to it. Anyway, the sparkles were nice but the removal was not. C'est la vie!
