All right, many pictures today! I'm really happy with how both of these turned out, so I'm excited to show you! First we've got day 18, half moons.
I started out with the ever-sexy OPI Roadhouse Blues
Then I slapped Zoya Charla on top, leaving sloppy half moons.
And then I used a Stripe Rite pen that doesn't have a color name. It's a pretty shimmery turquoise.
After cleanup in the sun. Why hello there!

So pretty! Charla is one hot mama. Although I think I'd rather buy one of the trillion Charla-dupes rather than get the real thing again.
Day 19! Galaxies. I had no idea where to start so I used this mani from Through the Wormhole as a guide. Hers looks vastly better than mine, but I tried!
I started with Wet n Wild Black Creme
Then I sponged on blue splotches with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blue Away
And then I sponged on more random splotches with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Raspberry Race
Then I sponged on Sinful Colors Unicorn
But that didn't really show up very well, so I used Finger Paints Dahlia My Number
aaand finally I did random white spots with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Whirlwind White

I was pretty satisfied with them, but most people thought they were flowers. I don't really know how they got that. Impressionist flowers? IDK, but I like it. It looks like galaxies to me, and that's all that matters!
Except for you guys, of course!
I love both of them! You did a fantastic job!!!
ReplyDeleteI like both designs! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the color combo on your half moons. I'm not sure if I love this type of mani, but I'll have to give it a try sometime.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving these! They look amazing!
ReplyDeleteOf course slightly miffed that I didn't get to see them in person :(
You did an awesome job w both manis ..... the half moon is very creative to use the art pen ..... the second mani looks like galxy nails to me .... flowers.... really... what r those ppl drinking....
ReplyDeleteLove your half moons. I was wanting Charla so last time I did a Zoya order I got it despite I had the OPI Catch Me In Your Net that everyone said was a dupe of Charla (both came out about the same time. I don't agree - I think Charla is a lot more every day wearable than CMIYN is. Love that you did not need to make even moons but used the Stripe Rite. I love those. Have a bunch of them.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE!!!! Your half moon is so original!
ReplyDeleteBoth are really cool! :)
ReplyDeleteI still need to try that roadhouse blues-sorry I let you down with my rainbows! Am loving the halfmoons! Very cool-
ReplyDeleteI want to do half moon manicures, but I lack skills. I like yours, with the stripe there! The galaxies look awesome :)
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are great--I especially love the layering with Charla!
ReplyDelete@Let's Get Nailed: I think it'd look really cool if it was just simple colors, like black and white. I just wanted to do something funky!
ReplyDelete@Polish Amor: Crazy juice, obviously!
@beachgal: I have two others, but one is a really bleh highlighter yellow and the other one has a wonky brush. I've never seen any direct CMIYN/Charla comparisons but I don't think I could ever have enough of this color.
@Fingers: That's all right! The sun is never around when you most need it to be. And you should try RHB soon! I know you'd love it.
@Larie: Did you see how ugly my half moons were in the first place? The striper thing is surprisingly easy to use and makes it look so much better!
Oh my! Love that second one. The first one, too, but the second one is just WOW!
ReplyDeleteLoving both of these manicures!
ReplyDeleteCharla is beautiful omg. I love the spacey stuff too.
ReplyDeleteCAN I JUST PREEMPTIVELY SAY THAT I LOVE ALL YOUR MANICURES
