Voila! See, I even gave her a cute little label.
Okay so, I just want to apologize for the state of these photographs, she doesn't have the best formula since I kind of made her out of crappy polishes. I could use some thinner, I really should get some...
Outside
Inside under the lamp. So even though in real life, it's nice white light, the camera still took pictures of me looking like I had freaking yellow fever! So I found a thing on the camera that color-corrects, except it gave me total lobster hands. My hands totally did not look like that, but that was the only way to make the polish look remotely accurate. Also, if you click on the picture you can see some shimmer on the pinky and ring finger!
Mooore shimmer if you click!
Lalalala shimmerrr
This pic is blurry, but it's the most color accurate so I thought I should include it.
Okay, so she's not exactly as close to China Glaze's For Audrey as I had hoped, but the name is cute so it's going to stay. She actually looks quite a bit like Turquoise and Caicos by Essie, which is awesome because that's a color I've been lemming for a while now. The formula's a tad gummy, and I used two coats. With a little thinner she should be absolutely perfect!
Oh, here's the recipe (once again, I meant to take a picture of all of these and it slipped my mind):
All better!
- 1/2 bottle of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Blue Away
- I think about 1/3 bottle of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Green With Envy
- about 1/3 bottle of Sinful Colors Love Nails
- a little bit of Milani Pool Party
- a smidgeon of an unnamed medium blue Claire's mini with a slight shimmer
- and enough Wet n' Wild topcoat to fill up the bottle.
For my first frankening effort, I'm very pleased! I hope you enjoyed seeing it as much as I enjoyed making it. :)
Me gustaaaa.
ReplyDeleteSorry for incoherent comment... that's all I can think of three minutes after I've woken up but this is really pretty ~ ;~;
Wow that is so cool! :)
ReplyDeleteI adore the shade you came up with!!
@Sonia: Haha, I appreciate it anyway.
ReplyDelete@Vintage: Thanks so much! It wasn't what I set out to make but it was a happy surprise!
