I saw this at Walmart today (I usually try to avoid going to Walmart, since it gives me the heebie jeebies, but it is very cheap, so...) and I don't know how it caught my eye, but I'm glad it did. The Nicole by OPIs were all jumbled up in these little baskets, so there was really no organization. I saw this and I absolutely couldn't NOT get it, because it looked like Russian Navy Suede! I didn't see any other bottles of this, so I'm glad I got it. It's No Limits - Matte from Nicole by OPI.
Stupid tag. That was annoying, and unnecessary, considering IT SAYS MATTE ON THE CAP.
Here is my picture of OPI Russian Navy suede, for reference. I couldn't actually compare them next to each other because I borrowed Russian Navy from someone else.
One coat of No Limits
Funky new pose.
Here it is with a topcoat. Shiiiiny.
And in bright sun.
Now matte in bright sun, sorry for the randomness.
And in lamplight.
Shiny in lamplight, yadda yadda.
I also bought my first crackle polish today!
China Glaze Lightning Bolt. Another darn tag! How annoying! Not like it says CRACKLE on the bottle. And look! I'm a Mac!
Here I did the crackle over the matte polish.
And here I painted it over the shiny polish.
As you can see, it cracked much better over the shiny nail polish, and I preferred the wider cracks that allowed more of the polish underneath to show through.
I really liked both of these! I was hesitant about the crackle train, but I decided to hop onboard.
I think No Limits is a suitable alternative for Russian Navy. It doesn't have quite as much silver glitter, but it's still very pretty. What do you think?
Great sub for a htf suede!
ReplyDeleteAnd come on! Two comments over a franken? You had me blushing! Email me your mailing address. It's coming your way. That was just too sweet to go unrewarded! :)

I am such a sucker for matte. I love it. And the crackle stuff looks lovely! :D
ReplyDelete@Leslie: You are too amazing! I hope you have a backup of some kind!
ReplyDelete@Sonia: You could always borrow it sometime :)
